Air Force, Navy, Army Give Send-Off for Gibo

Report of Bing Formento, DZRH, November 15, 2009:

Hindi daw makakalimutan ng mga tauhan ng Defense Department at Armed Forces of the Philippines ang magagandang halimbawa sa paglilingkod sa bayang ipinakita ni Gilbert Teodoro, ayon kay Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Victor Ibrado.

"We hate to have him go because he has been a very, very effective Secretary of National Defense. He has led us well. He has inspired us. But it's really time to go, we wish him all the best. I'm sure that wherever he will be, whatever position that he will occupy in government later on,
he will do the country good. No doubt about it."
- AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Victor Ibrado

"Kami ay nalulungkot dahil paalis na si Secretary Teodoro. Kung mababatid niyo, isa siya sa mga kasamahan natin, isa siyang reservist sa Philippine Air Force, and he's also an aviator. Malapit siya sa Philippine Air Force. In fact, flying ang first love niya, kaya may kasamang lungkot ang kanyang pag-alis. But alam ko naman na merong mas mataas na calling para sa kanya, and we have accepted that. What is important is, kung anuman ang mga programa na nailatag niya ay dapat lang ipatupad, at ito ay ipatutupad namin. Kaya good luck na lang kay Secretary Teodoro."
- Air Force Chief Lt. Gen. Oscar Rabena

Report of Bing Formento, DZRH, November 11, 2009:

Navy officers show off their "boses dagat" by singing to Sec. Teodoro :) Nag-duet pa si Gen. Ibrado at si Gibo!

"From the Philippine Navy, we would like to extend to our Secretary of National Defense (SND) all the best in all his future undertakings. That's why we held this Navy Send-Off for him, the same way we do for our ships and our marines whenever they go out on a mission. And just like our ships and our marines, the SND will be going out on a mission, and we hope and pray for nothing but the best for him, because we all know that his main concern is our country and our people. So, all the best for our SND, and may he continue to be blessed at all times with good health and right mind, right decisions, as he ventures into this new chapter of his life."
- Philippine Navy Flag Officer-in-Command Vice-Admiral Ferdinand Golez
